Viral Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber Coachella Post Branded ‘Fake News’

A viral social media post claiming Selena Gomez was denied entry and harassed at Coachella while trying to attend Justin Bieber’s rehearsal is now being widely dismissed as fabricated. The rumor gained traction after clips from Bieber’s performance began circulating online, fueling speculation about behind-the-scenes drama that, according to fans, never actually happened.

Fans slam post claiming Selena Gomez wanted to attend Justin Bieber’s Coachella rehearsal

The claim originated from a widely shared post on X (formerly Twitter) that included what appeared to be a screenshot of a purported Instagram Story from Selena Gomez. The post alleged that the singer and her team attempted to attend Justin Bieber’s rehearsal but were refused entry by security and treated poorly. It further claimed she was considering legal action against both the security team and event organizers.

The alleged Instagram Story read: “Just came out to see Justin Bieber’s rehearsal and ended up getting harassed by security @couchella this is unacceptable. I came in peace and got treated like a criminal… I’ll be taking this further.” However, users quickly pointed out inconsistencies, including the misspelling of “Coachella”, raising doubts about the authenticity of the post, with one user writing, “lol, why is anyone believing this? First of all, it says couchella.”

Fans were quick to fact-check the claim, noting that the alleged Story “never existed” and calling out the post for spreading misinformation. “This Insta story never existed. Stop spreading lies for clout,” one user wrote.  Another added, “The number of people believing this is actually crazy.” A third comment read, “That’s not true, she hasn’t even posted anything on IG.”

Some users accused the original poster of chasing engagement with misleading content, while others expressed frustration at how easily unverified claims gain traction during major events like Coachella. “You actually just spread fake news for clicks?” one comment read. “Have some pride in yourself.”
