New Bravo star Kenny Martin is about to make his debut on In The City. Now that he has eyes on him, everything that he says and does moving forward will be up for debate, whether he likes it or not, and yes, this includes who he chooses to follow online. On that note, a certain blogger recently combed through his cast’s social media accounts, solely to see who everyone followed. Afterward, she posted her findings, and Kenny experienced his first round of heated political commentary online. Here’s his response to that.
The new Bravo star isn’t afraid to address rumors head-on
While walking around Manhattan, Kenny addressed @itsrealitywithali‘s latest reel. As Kenny asked, “You’re telling me that I’m not allowed to follow Dave Portnoy, Kevin O’Leary, Theo Von, and Joe Rogan, all because of politics? That’s like telling a guy, ‘Okay, you can’t follow Barstool Sports, you can’t follow Shark Tank, no conspiracy theories, no biohacking.”
If so, Kenny finds that “Unhinged.” As he explained, “I personally have never voted for Trump. Just a reality.”
That said, he noted, “I am a moderate. I am fiscally conservative [and] socially liberal.” Likewise, Kenny has “friends that are all over the spectrum,” politically speaking.
“And I do follow the President,” Kenny continued. Likewise, he also follows “the Press Secretary, and I follow geopolitics,” he stressed. “But what she failed to mention is that I also follow Biden [and] Obama, and I follow a whole slew of liberal media.”
“So, my idea of accountability,” Kenny ended, “is being versed and articulate in different perspectives. And holding space, even though I hate that term, for real conversation and discussion. At this point, this girl has to know, unfortunately, that the witch hunt and the hate rally really are a big part of the problem.”
In The City debuts Tuesday, May 19 at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes will stream the following day on Peacock.
