Even those closest to Donald Trump cannot believe some of his theories. Among the President’s beliefs is that Diet Coke can kill cancer cells. The POTUS recently shared this belief with Dr. Oz. According to the President, pouring it on grass kills it, so therefore it must kill cancer cells as well.
The President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., couldn’t help but chuckle when Dr. Oz shared this information with him on his podcast. While the President often drinks diet sodas, he seems to have a particular fondness for another beverage.

His presumptions may be a little out there for some, but Donald Jr. says his father may be onto something. Although his Diet Coke theory got a rise out of the President’s eldest son, he adds that there might be something to his soft drink choices. “I know a lot of guys pushing 80,”said Donald Jr. He added that they don’t have the kind of recall and ability like his dad. Dr. Oz recalled a time when he was aboard Air Force One with the POTUS, where he was drinking Fanta. “It’s fresh squeezed, so how bad could it be for you?” the President reportedly told him.
By all accounts, the POTUS doesn’t maintain a very healthy lifestyle. In January, his Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., exposed the President’s poor diet. He claims that he often eats at McDonald’s, while also indulging in candy and Diet Coke.
His diet has some suggesting that he’s a little hypocritical. That’s because he has been pushing the Make America Healthy Again movement. While acknowledging his father’s diet isn’t great, Donald Jr. believes that he “wants people to at least have the knowledge.” During his first term as President, the real estate mogul had a button installed to order a Diet Coke on the spot. That button was reportedly reinstalled last year.
