Meghan Markle’s ‘Domestic Goddess Act’ Called Out by Expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently busy with their Australia tour. One of the first locations they visited was the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and photos of their visit have gone viral online. Some photos show Markle holding on to her husband’s arm with both hands, and a body language expert has called it out as “domestic Goddess act.”

Expert labels Meghan Markle’s demeanor ‘unreal’ during Australia tour

The current Australia tour marks Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s first visit to the country since their last in 2018, a few months after their marriage. Per the Daily Express, the Royal Children’s Hospital welcomed the Sussexes warmly, but a body language expert described the couple’s demeanor as “inappropriate.”

Harry and Meghan interacted with the kids at the hospital and even posed for photographs with the patients. The crowd that had gathered there applauded the couple. However, body language expert, Dr Louise Mahler, remarked on the couple’s behaviour, “The domestic Goddess act does not cut it with me.”

Further, Dr Mahler noted that Meghan was holding on to Prince Harry’s arm during the couple’s entry. She said that the former actress was “reaching out shyly with half an arm to greet others, like a retiring introvert overcome by adoration.”

The hospital’s chief executive, Dr Peter Steer, said of their visit, “It was a genuinely meaningful visit for our staff and for the young people receiving care.” Besides meeting the patients and their families, the Duke and Duchess participated in a group activity in one of the hospital’s gardens. Dr Mahler said that while she did not mean to disregard the joy the patients must have felt upon meeting the couple, there was “something dreadfully and shockingly incongruent here.”

She added, “The physical appearance we see bears no scar of the family conflict, staff distress and financial and business turmoil we know exists. Even the glaringly omnipresent effect of jetlag is not present after a 16-hour flight back in time. None of it shows and somehow that makes it alarmingly unreal, divisive and for me, repulsive.”
