Donald Trump Says US Relationship With UK Is ‘Not Good at All’

The once special relationship between the US and the UK is said to be crumbling. The war in Iran has created plenty of tension between the two countries, with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressing his share of frustrations at Donald Trump.

The President admitted that these days relations between the two nations and the PM are “not good at all.” According to Keir, Trump’s actions and those of Russian President Vladimir Putin have had devastating effects on those living in Britain.

President Trump and Prime Minister Starmer aren’t close to being on the same page about anything these days. The crisis in the Middle East is among the many issues on which the two remain divided. On Friday, news broke that the Strait of Hormuz was apparently reopened. When speaking to ITV from Nevada, the POTUS called it a great thing but lamented, “Too bad we didn’t have help from NATO.” He clarified that the Strait isn’t open to Iran but to everyone else.

Word of the Strait reopening has had a huge impact on the market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up more than 1.3%, while the FTSE Index also moved sharply on this news. While the Strait was closed, people in the UK were said to be experiencing higher energy bills.

Britain are unlikely unlikely to back the US in the war against Iran. While the President recently warned the PM about consequences, they might face the latter responded by saying he is “not going to yield” to the POTUS.

Despite the news in Iran today, there is said to be plenty of work remaining. That includes a deal with Iran, which has yet to be reached.

TELL US – WHAT IMPACT WILL THE STALE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE UK AND US HAVE ON THE REST OF NATO?
