Everybody seems to want to weigh in on the West Wilson and Amanda Batula situation. Today it’s Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy’s turn to offer his thoughts. In a TikTok post, Dave gives us some “tea by the sea on a windy day in the Keys.”
“West and Sophie Cunningham, they have a podcast,” he says. “I was this close to having that podcast under the Barstool umbrella … I talked to West a couple of times. By the way, West, nice enough guy. I like him. Total f*ck boy.”
“If that podcast was under our umbrella right now,” he adds, “I really would be the puppet master of the Internet. I would have had my hands in everything.”
The Barstool Sports founder has no time for West Wilson’s narrative
Apparently, on the most recent episode of West and Sophie’s podcast Show Me Something, West addressed all the recent drama. “He’s doing his snivelly, sorry, like, guilty … He’s pouty-facing it,” Dave says. “The big thing that everybody is locked on is like … ‘things started in February.’ And then he also says that [he and Amanda] started to get more serious in February. And there’s no overlap.”
Immediately, Dave calls out this questionable timeline. “So everyone’s antenna is up,” El Presidente continues. “How do you start to get serious in February if you ‘just started’ in February? That [doesn’t] make sense.”
“My guess is that there was definitely overlap [with Amanda and Kyle’s marriage],” Dave decides. “The thing that I can’t accept from West is the ‘woe is me’ sympathy. Like, ‘I should be getting more heat. Amanda shouldn’t be getting as much. I should be getting most of the blame’ … Like, spare me, West.”
“You were just at the Yankees game sticking your tongue down [Amanda’s] throat, like two days ago,” he concludes. “There’s no sympathy here. You’re both on a reality TV show. Ciara [Miller] and Amanda are, like, best friends, and then [Amanda] goes and f*cks her ex … [Amanda’s] the villain.”
