On April 14, The Valley star Danny Booko guested on The Eds podcast with Edwin Arroyave and Eddie Judge. During the interview, he addressed his on-going feud with Janet Caperna.
In addition to saying Danny was inappropriate around women, Janet also accused him of having a problem with alcohol in Season 2. When the Eds asked if he can ever repair his friendship with Janet, Danny was a definite no.
“I don’t think [we could ever make amends],” Danny admitted. “I had hopes … [But] she didn’t burn a bridge, she nuclear bombed a bridge by the things that she came out and said.”
The Valley star also spoke Jax Taylor’s alleged attempted takedown
In addition to Janet, former castmate Jax Taylor also planned an attack on Danny and his wife Nia Sanchez. If he had to choose between the two, Danny revealed that he’d definitely pick Jax over Janet.
According to Danny, he and Nia were almost like “America’s Sweethearts on Bravo” following The Valley Season 1. Jax, of course, was jealous, because he considered The Valley “my show.” Unfortunately, he and his then-wife Brittany Cartwright were in the throes of a tumultuous separation and ultimate divorce in Season 2.
Going into the season, Danny considered Jax “my closest friend.” But Jax’s “MO is to put a target on the people that are being shown in a good light. So he went after us hard,” Danny shared. “Behind our backs, he talked to people in the cast, in our group, and said, ‘Hey, we have to take down Nia and Danny.’”
“Unfortunately, a few people definitely got on board, and so the second season was really, really tough,” he went on. “There was a big target on our backs. People [were] saying that we thought we were perfect, and we were playing this whole, protecting our image.”
“[Season two] was a really tough,” the dad of four-under-four added. “It was ugly … [But] the viewers are smart, and they saw right through it. It completely backfired, and we got nothing but love and support.”
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
