Now, Jennie Bond, a royal expert, reportedly spoke about the dynamic between the Princess of Wales and the late Queen in the early days.
Expert believes Kate Middleton’s first meeting with Queen Elizabeth was ‘odd’
Kate Middleton allegedly had an “odd” first meeting with her now-husband, Prince William’s grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth. As reported by The Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond told them that “It must be the most extraordinary, nerve-racking experience to be dating the Queen’s grandson, a future King.” The expert continued, “Catherine was William’s girlfriend for the best part of seven years.” The expert added, “Before she was formally introduced to his granny.” The person then claimed, “And I can only imagine how odd that was.”
In the meantime, Jennie Bond further went on to tell the news outlet that Kate Middleton and the Late Queen Elizabeth “had even been at the same event two years earlier.” The royal expert continued, “William’s passing out parade at Sandhurst — but they hadn’t formally met.” After that, the expert explained, “I think it can be said that the Queen’s approach.” The expert continued, “to her grandson’s potential future wife was distinctly cautious.” The person then added, “However, once she was confident that this was a serious relationship.” The royal expert continued that the late Queen “grew to like and admire Catherine.”
According to the news outlet, back in December 2010, the late Queen summoned the now-Princess of Wales to meet her. It was allegedly five months ahead of her wedding to her now-husband, Prince William. Per the news outlet, over the years, Kate Middleton turned to Queen Elizabeth “as a close confidant.” She would allegedly go to her when she needed advice on handling royal life.
