The Pentagon is taking some heat for an investment made in Eric’s new robotics company. They’re giving him $24 million to test heavy-duty humanoid robots. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren is among those who oppose this move. She wonders, “Is the Pentagon just a cash machine for Trump’s kids now?” From her vantage point, this is “corruption in plain sight.”

The money given to Eric raises more than a few red flags for Elizabeth and Democratic lawmakers. On her X account, she says that she’s been “sounding the alarm and pushing for answers.” It followed Eric’s appearance on Fox to discuss the contract he received. Arizona Representative Ruben Gallego weighed in, saying that while many families are reportedly paying more because of the Iran war, the President’s family is “making more” in his eyes.
Eric’s company, Foundation Future Industries, raises serious ethical concerns among Democratic lawmakers. That has many expressing outrage that only the President’s family are profiting financially during his second term in the White House.
Elizabeth has had her share of issues with the Trump family’s projects this year. Earlier this month, she questioned the funding for First Lady Melania Trump’s movie. She called the $40 million Amazon MGM paid “bribery in plain sight.”
In his interview, Eric discussed the importance of putting America first. His deal comes as the Defense Department unveiled a 2027 fiscal budget request of $1.5 trillion. They’re requesting $55 billion for the Defense Autonomous Warfare Group. This group is tasked with developing military robotics powered by artificial intelligence. Some Democratic politicians warn that a reckoning will eventually come to the Trump family.
