ABC owes us all a season of The Bachelorette after their latest casting choice epicly backfired. Fortunately, Lisa Rinna has a wonderful suggestion. She thinks her Traitors co-star, Maura Higgins, deserves a shot in the spotlight, and honestly? She’s not wrong.
Could Maura Higgins sign up for the dating show after competing on DWTS?
After Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette got canceled, rumors started swirling that Maura could be stepping into the role. Maura even played into the rumors at the time, signaling that she might be open to it.
Earlier this week, the network announced that she would be stepping onto one of their other shows, Dancing with the Stars. We love to see it, but Lisa recently explained to E! News why Maura’s next move should be at the center of The Bachelorette.
“I think she should be the Bachelorette,” Lisa declared. “I think she should do everything, because she’s such good television.”
The only thing Maura can’t do is win a season of The Traitors, but Lisa seems confident that she’d have a successful run as The Bachelorette.
“She can do it all,” Lisa gushed.
Not to mention—ABC kind of needs someone like Maura to pull in the ratings after that botched season with Taylor. They’re at risk of losing millions of dollars from not airing the season, so whatever they do next has to land.
In the meantime, Lisa said she’s going to be rooting for Maura as she struts her way through DWTS Season 35. Lisa has been in those shoes before, so she knows how much fun Maura is about to have this year.
“I am so excited, because that was a life-changing experience for me,” Lisa said of DWTS.
She added. “It’s going to be life-changing for her. I was genuinely thrilled because I adore her. I love her so much, and I just think it’s so fun to watch these kids having their moment.”
The Bachelorette is streaming on Hulu and Disney+. You can stream The Traitors on Peacock.
