Jimmy Kimmel may be a national treasure … but the TV host does not have a fan in Melania Trump. Taking to social media this week, the first lady shared her honest opinion about Jimmy. And she did not hold back.
The First Lady responded to Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue about her family
To recap, on last week’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the presenter delivered a scathing monologue about Donald Trump, his wife, and his White House team.
In his speech, Jimmy made jokes about the Epstein Files, the president’s recent social media controversy, and also the hush money he paid to Stormy Daniels, which was at the center of his criminal conviction on state charges in 2024.
While Jimmy’s speech was a hit with viewers, it did not go down well with Melania, who later took to Facebook to call him out.
“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country,” she said. “His monologue about my family isn’t comedy – his words are corrosive and deepen the political sickness within America.”
“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” the first lady went on, before branding him a “coward.”
“Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him,” she continued. “Enough is enough.”
Melania ended her rant by saying, “It is time for ABC to take a stand.”
Her POV was hit with a mixed response in the comment section, though. “Agree 100% with you,” one person said. “I think he is fabulous!!!” replied another, who added: “Freedom of speech baby, freedom of speech!!”
“His monologue about your family isn’t comedy? That’s where you’re wrong,” someone else commented. “It’s comedy gold! Truthful too!”
