Princess Eugenie was back in the social spotlight after a Sicily wedding photo surfaced online. The royal was seemingly seen in Palermo, where friends gathered for a high-society celebration. The sighting came amid renewed scrutiny around the ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
It also followed reports about the York daughters’ missing recent royal appearances. Those included Easter events and Queen Elizabeth’s centenary commemorations. The photo marked one of her rare appearances in recent months.
Princess Eugenie seemingly spotted at Sicily wedding in new photo amid dad’s scandal
As per the Tatler report, Princess Eugenie attended Charles Forte and Georgie Wright’s wedding. Charles is the son of hotelier Sir Rocco Forte. Wright is a handbag designer. Meanwhile, actress and model Jazzy de Lisser posted the Instagram carousel from Palermo. Her caption read, “That’s Amore.” She also called it the “most beautiful weekend celebrating The Poodles.” In the photo, Wright wore a white column gown and a fur shawl. Eugenie appeared behind her, speaking with guests in a black gown.
The report added that the wedding setting was Villa Igiea, Sir Rocco’s Palermo hotel. However, GB News reported that the ceremony happened at the Cathedral of Monreale on April 24. The outlet said the celebration drew more than 350 guests. The list included Lady Lola Bute and Tish Weinstock. It remained unclear whether Jack Brooksbank or Princess Beatrice joined Eugenie. Still, Tatler noted the royal had long ties to the Forte family. She attended Irene Forte’s 2021 wedding in Italy. Earlier, Irene attended Eugenie’s own royal wedding in 2018.
The appearance came while Ex-Prince Andrew’s daughters were being discussed in royal coverage. As per GB News, both sisters missed Easter Sunday and the late Queen’s 100th birthday events. Still, the outlet reported they would be welcome at future royal family events. Meanwhile, Tatler cited royal author Phil Dampier, who said, “I think they have been tarnished.” He added that they were earlier viewed as “the innocent victims.” Eugenie’s Palermo outing placed her back in view, but at a private wedding.
