Donald Trump met with NASA’s Artemis II astronauts in the Oval Office on Wednesday, where he took questions from reporters. While answering an important question, the president took an unexpected detour to poke fun at NASA Administrator and billionaire investor Jared Isaacman’s ears.

“Are you considering relocating NASA’s headquarters out of D.C. once the lease is up? States like Texas, Ohio, and Florida have expressed interest,” a reporter asked Trump during the press briefing. The POTUS responded, “Well, the best man to tell you that is the man standing right over here,” pointing at Isaacman.

“You heard that question with those beautiful ears of yours?” Trump quipped, drawing attention to the NASA official’s ears. “He’s got great hearing, you know. He’s, he’s got super hearing,” the president joked. Isaacman responded to the remark, saying, “Trick of the trade, sir.”

The Artemis II mission returned to Earth on April 11, after their 10-day lunar flyby. The astronauts, pilot Victor Glover, commander Reid Wiseman, mission specialist Christina Koch, and mission specialist Jeremy Hansen, made history by travelling the farthest distance ever reached by humans.

During the Oval Office meeting, Trump commended the astronauts. He stated, “To get in there, you have to be very smart. You have to do a lot of things physically good,” before adding, “So I would have had no trouble making it. I’m physically very, very good.”

Trump went on to ask if he could ever join a space mission. “Maybe a little bit of a problem, I don’t know, Jared. We’ll have to try it sometime. Is a president allowed to go up in one of these missions?” the president asked. Isaacman replied, “We can get working on that, Mr. President.”
