Speaking at the 51st Chaplin Award Gala, Clooney said his eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, are “slowly figuring out” what he does. He shares them with his wife, Amal Clooney, and the family welcomed the twins in 2017.
Clooney admitted that watching his older films feels uncomfortable. “It’s hard to watch movies when you were younger,” he said, explaining that he barely recognizes himself on screen. However, one project has become a family favorite, “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” because it only features his voice; he finds it easier to enjoy with his kids.
The actor also recalled a funny moment involving his past role as Batman. When his son dressed up as the superhero for Halloween, Clooney told him he had played the character. His son did not believe him at first. After finally watching “Batman & Robin”, the child enjoyed the film, even if Clooney joked that it was not made for adults.
