Christopher Knight is addressing the rumors of an off-screen romance on his famous show. The man who portrayed Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch in the late 60s to mid 70s got into his past in a recent interview.
Eve Pumb, who played Jan Brady on the program, recently shared a time when she and Christopher went on a date. The actor admits he and his castmates were very close at that time. He says that his bond with Eve stood out.

They were close, but apparently not that close. In an exclusive interview with People, Christopher got into his relationship with Eve while on The Brady Bunch. Looking back, he says that he remembers that she “always had her claim on me.” That said, at that time, he admits, “I wasn’t ready to be claimed.”
By all accounts, it seems both were into one another, but the timing just wasn’t right. Christopher says by the time he recognized the love connection between them, their show was going off the air. While they both say their connection was sweet, Christopher confessed that “it was (not)destined.”
The pair are among the many celebrities who’ve been speculated to have a romantic connection while working together. Last year, similar rumors were swirling about Meryl Streep and Martin Short. This came after they shared a kiss on the set of Only Murders in the Building.
In her memoir Happiness Included, Eve discussed how their connection failed to materialize into anything romantic. Christopher says that to this day, the pair remain close friends. Currently, he is married to Cara Kokenes, whom he married in 2016. Eve, meanwhile, has been married to her second husband, Ken Pace, since 1995.
