New Statement in Active Nancy Guthrie Case; Authorities Say Tips Are Critical

There are renewed calls for help from the public in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance case. Investigators are hoping more information can be brought forward by people regarding this matter, which has lasted for months.

To date, no arrests have been made in this case, and it doesn’t appear as though investigators are any closer to finding the 84-year-old. Nancy was last seen on January 31 and reported missing the following day.

It may appear like all hope is lost, but investigators aren’t giving up their search for Nancy. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed a fresh statement on this case to Fox News Digital on Friday. A spokesperson said that “Anyone with information related to the Nancy Guthrie case is encouraged to come forward.”

This latest plea comes as we are over three months into this investigation, and no end appears to be in sight. The call for tips is one that authorities have gotten plenty of over the course of this investigation. Nancy’s daughter, Today Show co-host Savannah offer a $1 million reward for anyone who comes forward with useful information. The FBI reportedly received a significant number of tips following her announcement.

Officials are reiterating that community tips are important as the search continues. There has been a great deal of attention on this case since it broke, though those handling it have yet to find a breakthrough. A suspect description was released weeks ago after footage of a masked man from Nancy’s doorbell camera was uncovered.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has received its share of scrutiny for how they’ve handled this case. The belief is that Nancy was taken from her home in the middle of the night. Her blood was found when police investigated her home in Tucson after the alleged kidnapping.
