After pausing production in March, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is up and filming again. But amid the custody battle and the restraining orders, will Dakota Mortensen be included in Season 5?
After a judge issued three-year restraining orders against both Dakota and his baby mama, Taylor Frankie Paul, that’s unlikely. As the alleged founder of MomTok, Taylor is reportedly welcome to return, though she has yet to commit.
Dakota’s return to SLOMW is highly unlikely

After all, the name of the show is The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, not Mormon husbands. Dakota only became part of the show because he was dating Taylor. Now that they’re (hopefully) never ever getting back together, Dakota’s sell-by date has expired.
As reported by TMZ, the couple have been busy in recent weeks filing TROs and battling over custody of their son Ever in court. In March, Dakota was granted temporary sole custody of the two-year-old. However, the former couple are back in court on April 7 to revisit the custody issue.
While most of the SLOMW women are distancing themselves from the messy court case, Jessi Draper stands firmly beside Taylor. Both Jessi and Taylor’s sister Aspen May, have filed affidavits of support.
After extending the three-year restraining order, the judge urged both parties to work toward mediation. Meanwhile, he will also make a recommendation on parenting time.
Furthermore, according to TMZ, Taylor tried to seal the April 30 court hearing to keep the media out. Unfortunately, the judge rejected her request, leaving the way clear for cameras in the courtroom.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out when SLOMW returns. In the meantime, will we ever get to see Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette?
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
