Nicole Kidman’s Fully See-Through Chanel Dress Gives Lingerie for Met Gala

Nicole Kidman shed her custom crimson red gown in favor of a fully see-through lingerie-inspired Chanel dress for her second look at Met Gala 2026. The actress served as co-chair for the event alongside Beyoncé and Venus Williams. She changed into a sheer midi dress to address the guests at the star-studded night.

Nicole Kidman pulled a dress from the Chanel Fall/Winter 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection for her second Met Gala look. The slip dress featured a complex layering of lace and satin. It had a delicate lace trim along the scalloped neckline, creating a boudoir-inspired silhouette. The midsection featured a salmon-pink satin panel, complemented by the same lace used on the upper bodice, which was also echoed along the hem.

Voluminous, pale pink ostrich feathers adorned the cap sleeves, adding movement to the look. Further, three-dimensional floral appliqués decorated the skirt area and the sleeves. The botanical elements, crafted in warm autumnal tones such as burnt orange, deep burgundy, and gold, contrast with the soft pink lace. Just like the runway model, Kidman layered it over a tiny white bra and vibrant pink high-waisted briefs.

The “Babygirl” actress paired it with shimmering drop earrings and a classic silver Omega timepiece. The latter piece featured 224 diamonds: 34 on the bezel, 178 on the bracelet, and 12 as hour markers. She wore her blonde hair straight with face-framing fringe. Meanwhile, her makeup was simple with rosy cheeks and a nude lip. Her soft glam maintained a relaxed vibe that balanced the gown’s intricacy.

Earlier that evening, Kidman walked the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a sequined red gown with a dramatic train and feather details along the waist. She brought her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, along with her. The teenager was wearing a custom pink Dior dress by Jonathan Anderson.
