Real Housewives of Orange County offspring Sophie Beador has followed mom Shannon Beador into the family business – sort of. She has a job at NBC. But don’t expect her to join the Bravoverse anytime soon.
“It’s been fun to see both sides of NBC,” Sophie told Gia Giudice on the May 4 episode of Gia’s Casual Chaos podcast.
Sophie explained that her job is “more so the business side” of the network. She works in ad sales at NBCUniversal, the parent company of Bravo. She likes being in the background and has no plans to join her mom’s show or any other.
Sophie Beador doesn’t want to hear Shannon’s name at work
At her job, Sophie’s mom is kind of an unavoidable issue, since she’s on TV screens and ads all over the main office space. Shannon “definitely gets brought up at work,” she admitted.
According to Sophie, her bosses have asked if she ever considered moving to Bravo. “Have you considered it?” they wondered.
“Yeah, I’ve considered it,” she replied. “[But] I probably won’t be doing that … As much as I love her, I don’t want to hear [my mom’s] name at work.”
However, if Shannon’s eldest daughter ever changes her mind about a career at Bravo, she would “of course” pitch her mom for ad campaigns and promos.
“I have friends who work on Bravo,” she shared. “They do BravoCon. It’s a lot.” She added that one of her friends has “pitched my mom for different things,” which has been “fun to hear about.”
As viewers are well aware, Sophie’s dad is David Beador. He and Shannon were married from 2000 to 2017, before filing for divorce. In addition to Sophie, the couple also share twin daughters Adeline and Stella, who are now 21.
Meanwhile, RHOC is currently filming Season 20, which is expected to air sometime later in 2026.
