Kim Scott’s latest legal trouble may look like a single DUI case on the surface. However, newly released court records paint a clearer picture of what allegedly happened that night. As reported, Scott was driving her Range Rover in Chesterfield Township with her son, Parker, and three of his friends when a parked truck was hit. According to the New York Post, the impact pushed the vehicle nearly 50 feet down the street. Authorities said Scott drove away from the scene, later crashing into her garage door after returning home.

When officers arrived at the property, Kim Scott allegedly admitted to hitting the truck. She also reportedly told police, “I know what this is about.” According to OK! Magazine, Eminem’s former wife had consumed “two margaritas at Chili’s” before driving.
Officers also noted “glossy eyes, slurred/slowed speech and lethargic demeanor” during the interaction, while “a strong odor of alcoholic intoxicants emitting from her person/breath” was allegedly detected. Police later recovered an empty Crown Royal Apple mini bottle from inside the SUV, along with a root beer can believed to contain alcohol.
A breathalyzer test reportedly showed a blood alcohol level of 0.079 percent. Court documents further stated that “during the booking process, Kimberly was observed to nod off and appeared to go limp while awaiting instructions.” Her mugshot was later released following the arrest.
Scott later appeared before a judge at the 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore, Michigan, on May 11. There, she entered a no-contest plea connected to DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. The 51-year-old is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on June 17. Notably, Scott’s struggles with substance abuse have previously been made public, too. Similarly, another DUI charge was also filed against her in 2017.
