Charissa Thompson reportedly wants her boyfriend to love her more after witnessing the bond between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The host of “Thursday Night Football” told PEOPLE that she has enjoyed watching Swift and Kelce grow their relationship. She added, “I always say to my boyfriend after we see them, I’m like, ‘You should love me more.’ Because they love each other so much, and it’s so beautiful to see. I just love seeing both of them happy.”
Earlier, the TV host mentioned how she found out about the couple’s engagement. She said she was texting her “Calm Down” podcast cohost Erin Andrews when she learned the news. Talking about the moment, she said, “So it was sort of apropos that we’ve obviously always advocated and hoped that they would fall in love and live happily ever after. And it actually happened!”
In fact, the moment she found out about the engagement was very special for her, as she had previously joked that she and Andrews played a role in bringing Swift and Kelce together.
During a May 2024 episode of “The Tonight Show,” Thompson shared how she and Andrews had joked about helping to make the match happen. Apparently, they used their podcast to encourage the idea of Swift dating Kelce after the football player had previously mentioned on his own show that he wanted to meet the singer.
