A hugely popular UK reality series is getting some serious backlash. A trio of women are alleging sexual misconduct from their former on-screen husbands on the program Married at First Sight UK. Two of those women claim they were sexually assaulted.
The show, which airs on Channel 4 in the UK, sees total strangers tie the knot in a mock wedding. Cameras follow them around afterwards to see what happens.
After getting married, they move in together, go to dinner parties and social events. Eventually, the pair must decide whether to stay together or go their separate ways.
The women speak out in a new BBC Panorama documentary

The procedures in place on Married at First Sight UK are being questioned. This after some explosive allegations were revealed in a new BBC Panorama documentary.
British journalist Noor Nanji spoke to the three women who claim to have been victimized by their husbands on that series. Channel 4 and CPL, the independent production company that makes the series, allege that their welfare protocols are robust and comprehensive.
They have had 10 seasons of the UK version of this reality show, with the last one airing in 2025. Earlier this year, a new spinoff of that program began, called Second Marriage at First Sight. In March 2021, Owen and Michelle from Season 5 of Married at First Sight UK made history. They became the first couple to celebrate their first wedding anniversary together on the show.
The men alleged to have engaged in inappropriate behavior have denied the women’s claims.
Throughout 2026, there have been a host of bombshell stories alleging sexual misconduct in some way, be it from celebrities or the set of a movie or show. Among the biggest was Blake Lively’s claims of sexual harassment against Justin Baldoni and his production company on the set of It Ends with Us. That case was settled out of court weeks ago. Justin claimed to have been “ecstatic” upon learning this.
