Tiger Woods‘ legal issues aren’t stopping him from being there for Kai Trump‘s big day. The golfing legend reportedly cut his rehab short to attend the graduation day of Donald Trump’s granddaughter. Insiders close to the veteran sportsman have suggested that Woods ensured his presence on Kai’s monumental day, as he considers the young golfer his own daughter.
Insider suggests Tiger Woods left rehab for Kai Trump’s graduation
Sources have seemingly told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that Tiger Woods made a quick return from his rehab session in Zurich, Switzerland, in a bid to get home in time for Kai Trump’s high school graduation.
“Tiger absolutely adores Kai. She’s become like a daughter to him,” the insider noted while discussing Woods’ recent comeback to Florida. “He wasn’t going to miss this moment. Tiger has become deeply attached to Vanessa’s children, especially Kai,” they added.
Notably, the 50-year-old golfer spent around six weeks at a private rehabilitation facility in Zurich in order to treat his long-term painkiller dependency as well as the chronic injuries he sustained after a DUI offense in March. Tiger Woods had previously requested that the court allow him to travel to a different country to seek “comprehensive inpatient treatment” following his arrest.
However, he successfully completed a swift return, just in time to be there for his partner, Vanessa Trump, and her daughter, Kai, for the latter’s high school graduation. Woods also shares a personal dynamic with Kai over their shared love of golf. According to a source, “Golf is the language they bond through. Tiger understands the pressure, expectations, and attention that come with growing up in the spotlight.”
The insider also mentioned that Kai Trump was one of the very few people who remained in contact with Tiger Woods during his time in rehab. “At this stage of his life, family means everything to Tiger. And Kai truly feels like family to him now,” they remarked.
