Glen Powell revealed a fan has been eating photos of his face every single day online. The actor finally met the viral superfan during a red carpet event for one of his films. The unusual fan story came up during a Hollywood comedy roundtable interview where The Top Gun: Maverick star shared how he first learned about the viral TikTok creator.
Glen Powell shares his encounter with superfan who ‘eats’ his face
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Glen Powell recalled being stopped on a red carpet and hearing someone mention “the girl that eats your face.” The actor said he had no clue what they meant. “I go, ‘What are you talking about?’” Powell remembered during the conversation with Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Riz Ahmed, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff.
The fan behind the viral trend is TikTok creator @mynameismonique. She began posting videos in June 2025, where she eats edible pictures of Powell every day. According to her posts, she plans to continue the challenge until she lands a background role in one of his movies or TV projects. By the time Powell noticed the trend, she had already crossed more than 100 days of the challenge online.
The two eventually met during the U.K. premiere of The Running Man last November. Videos shared online showed Powell signing a photo for Monique before she immediately took a bite out of it. Looking stunned, Powell turned toward the camera and joked, “This is savage.” The clip quickly spread across social media and became another viral moment connected to the actor.
Powell also spoke about another uncomfortable Hollywood interaction during a 2025 appearance on the Therapuss podcast. He revealed he once avoided taking a photo with a “recently canceled” celebrity at a party. “I was a fan of their work but not a fan of their choices,” he explained. The actor said he quickly realized a photo together was not “a good idea.”
