Andrew Lownie’s book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which explores Ex-Prince Andrew’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted child sex offender, said the former Duke of York used a crude pickup line. The author alleged, “His chat-up line was, ‘What’s it feel like to have the royal c**k against your thigh?’”
Royal author Andrew Lownie reveals ex-Prince Andrew’s way with words
The 65-year-old Royal author and internationally acclaimed historian told Page Six that when the former Duke of York was introduced to a female flight attendant on a plane, she went to shake his hand, while Andrew “whirls around, basically sticks his groin in her backside and then practices a golf swing.”
Lownie added that there are “just lots and lots of stories” of the 66-year-old acting inappropriately, having “a strong sense of entitlement” and appearing to take pleasure in embarrassing women. The author mentioned, “It’s sort of sexual humiliation,” like “pulling down the zips” on women’s dresses at balls and “leaving them embarrassed.”
In January 2026, the US Justice Department released multiple photographs from the Epstein files. One appeared to show the former Duke of York kneeling on all fours over a female lying on the ground, as per reports by the BBC.
He is also accused of raping Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent survivors of Epstein’s sexual abuse, when she was a minor. She was recruited by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre was raped, not once but three times, by the former prince, reports ABC. She filed a federal lawsuit against Andrew in 2021, accusing him of sexually abusing her when she was 17. In April 2025, she died by suicide.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his titles last year due to his ties with Epstein, was arrested in February 2026. It marked the first time the former prince was arrested over his links to Epstein, but he was soon released.
