Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson were caught essentially fleeing the scene of the crime. The pair were seen out of the country before the first part of the reunion airing tonight. The new couple headed to Italy, and it’s probably a good thing considering the fallout that’s likely to follow the reunion.
The Summer House stars are facing intense backlash
Ever since the pair confirmed their relationship online, they have been facing a wave of backlash from both their co-stars and fans online. The drama has hounded them ever since. And it doesn’t seem like the reunion is going to make it go away. If anything, it may get worse.
Which would explain why they headed out of Dodge. Deuxmoi posted a photo of Amanda and West at the airport, leaving the country. They also revealed a tip they received about the pair.
“Please note this picture is at the airport, headed to Italy,” the caption said. “Summer House’s West Wilson and Amanda Batula leave the country ahead of Summer House reunion.” They also added another tip sent in by a user.
“West and Amanda were spotted in Rome a few hours ago!!! Restaurant called Civico 4.”
Looks like they are continuing to double down on their relationship despite all the backlash. And getting out of town is probably a way for them to be together without having people watching them.
The pair is likely hoping the reunion will put to rest rumors about their relationship. “As scary as today is, good things can come today as well,” West shared when asked in a confessional what he wants to get out of the reunion. “I think a timeline of this, of our modern relationship, is important to address, because there’s a lot of speculation.”
The pair hopes people recognize their accountability and that they can make progress down the road. Amanda was a little more pragmatic, noting that making amends with everyone was probably not possible, but clearing up that no affairs or anything malicious had happened. She’s hoping there’s a path forward with some of her co-stars someday.
That won’t happen with Ciara Miller, though. The model and host has made it clear that she and Amanda are done.
