Chris Deluzio slams Donald Trump’s Iran war strategy
In a Sunday interview on Scott MacFarlane Reports, Chris Deluzio responded to what he was hearing from Trump officials about the war.
“I think the military has been put in this position – and they are doing tactically what they’re being asked to do. The Trump administration, though, the strategic part of this? They’re floundering,” he responded, “They are trying to get back to a situation that looks like it’s going to be worse than it was before they started the war, to just get the Strait of Hormuz moving again and open.”
The representative for Pennsylvania’s 17th congressional district further added that the war “looks to be a major blunder.” He also blasted the high costs Americans were paying for the war.
“The cost…we’re talking billions of dollars, American lives, energy markets are really destabilized and more,” he continued. He further elaborated that the problem with the war was not with the military. “The problem is not our military. The problem is the White House and the civilian leadership. I just really don’t think they know what the heck they are doing,” he added.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump and the White House have repeatedly assured that a peace negotiation was underway. This time, the citizens are expecting a permanent solution to the ongoing war with Iran. However, there have been numerous delays regarding the same in the past weeks.
Despite the ongoing peace negotiations, there has been a surge in military strikes that are likely to slow progress further.
