Contrary to popular belief, there is no beef between two stars of The Pitt. At least that’s what Sepideh Moafi is saying amid the rumors of tension between her and Noah Wyle. According to her, she’s had a lot of fun since joining the show in Season 2.
Speideh plays Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, who replaces Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, as the latter goes on sabbatical. That storyline sparked the speculation that there was bad blood between the two in real life.
What Sepideh Moafi said about rivalry rumors
Sepideh and Noah are on good terms. The actress discussed the thought of a rivalry brewing with Noah, with Variety. That notion is “completely false,” according to her. If there is bad blood between them, it’s not on her end of things as she says, “not that I’m aware of,” in regard to a rivalry, while adding, “you can check with Noah, but I don’t know about this.”
She did confirm that she will return for Season 3, though she’s not sure how much she’ll feature. Noah will also be coming back. The show already went through some big changes. Tracy Ifeachor, who plays Dr. Heather Collins in Season 1, departed, while Supriya Ganesh will not reprise the role of Dr. Samira Mohan in the upcoming season.
Noah is an executive producer on the show. He notes that cast changes are inevitable, especially on a show like that, as emergency room staff can come and go. He says they’re always trying to bring in new characters and promote from within if possible.
There may not be a rivalry with him and Sepideh, according to the latter, but Noah sparked one with another actor this year. At the Golden Globes, Noah was asked to compare his skills in The Pitt with those of Dr. Doug Ross, George Clooney’s character in ER. “I’m the better doctor,” responded Noah.
Season 3 of The Pitt is expected to premiere in January 2027.
