Ben Affleck’s Ex-Wife Takes a Subtle Dig at Him on Jimmy Kimmel Show

Jennifer Lopez takes a subtle dig at Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez takes a subtle swipe at her ex-husband on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Notably, the singer is promoting her forthcoming Netflix movie Office Romance and decided to get candid about her personal life. Jimmy Kimmel asked the singer-actor, “You’re single right now?”

Lopez replied candidly, “I am.” Kimmel was about to ask her another question, but she interrupted him by remarking, “I should have done it sooner. I’ve been doing it all wrong! I’ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.”

Kimmel took this chance to offer her a new season of The Bachelorette. The host asked, “Would you consider becoming the next Bachelorette here at ABC?” The “On the Floor” hitmaker remarked, “Are you crazy? I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now.” She added that being single was “fantastic.”

Kimmel quipped that Lopez should consider this as an opportunity to meet someone since “it seems too hard for you to meet people otherwise.” The Office Romance star said, “I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day. If they’re good enough. I don’t know.”

For those unversed, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their 2000s romance in 2021. The couple married in 2022 and finalized their divorce in February 2025. While the Gone Girl star hasn’t spoken about his divorce, Lopez has addressed the matter in recent interviews.

In a past interview on Nightline on Good Morning America, Lopez confessed that she had to pause everything after filing for divorce from Affleck. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer confessed, “I had to stop everything and I took a year off. I canceled tours. I just decided to be home and sit in what had happened without running away from it through work, through another person, through anything — just sit.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lopez confessed that she was happy and loving single life at the moment. When the host teased her by asking “if she’s dating up a storm,” the 56-year-old replied, “No. I’m not! God forbid, I don’t want to ruin anything!”
