Sydney Sweeney shared an Instagram post, seemingly taking a dig at the critics of her hit TV show “Euphoria”. Sweeney posed for gorgeous solo pictures alongside photos with her co-stars. The actress seemingly fired back at critics with the snarky caption, “it’s called… acting.” Unsurprisingly, the post garnered 2.1 million likes, 14.9K reposts, 7.4K comments, and 225K shares.

Sweeney shared candid and goofy photos with her on-screen husband, Nate (Jacob Elordi), and her manager-best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie), among others. For those unversed, Sweeney’s Cassie pivots towards a lucrative career as an OnlyFans creator to pay for her dream wedding. In the process, the actress participated in provocative and emotionally charged scenes, often requiring her to strip naked.

These scenes included her posing in baby clothes, cosplaying as a puppy, wrangling a snake, and filming fully naked. Unsurprisingly, she invited the wrath of actual OnlyFans creators and long-time fans of the show for her hypersexualized portrayal of Cassie. However, the 28-year-old has seemingly shut down her critics with a simple, three-word caption.

Fans in the comments section of her Instagram post are rallying behind Sweeney. One fan commented, “Acted so good people are HATING.” A second fan wrote, “Carrying the season!!!!!!!” A third fan penned, “So iconic,” followed by a heart emoji. Another fan chimed in, “You’re incredible. Truly.” Finally, one fan stated, “For everyone complaining, Sydney is the best in season 3, stunning acting.”

Previously, her character Cassie defended her choice of career to her younger sister, Lexi (Maude Apatow). During the May 17 episode of the show, Cassie got her big break on a movie set. However, Lexi chided her for her OnlyFans work and slammed her for indulging in provocative scenes. Cassie got offended at being labeled a sex worker and retorted, “I’m a performer that uses my body to tell stories” (via Us Weekly).
