Taylor Swift has fans racking their brains. What’s got Swifties buzzing these days is a countdown clock, but no one knows what it signifies. It’s in anticipation of the upcoming Toy Story, with animation from the film in the background on her website.
There’s plenty of speculation about what it means, but no one has the specifics. Whatever it is, we won’t have long to figure it out, with an announcement coming at 2pm ET today.
Is Taylor Swift on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack?
A fifth Toy Story movie is just around the corner, and there are plenty of rumors that the Fearless singer is involved. The belief from some is that she’ll be lending her voice to the soundtrack of the popular film franchise. On her website, a Disney Pixar billboard shows TS written on it to signify Toy Story.
Given her background and the movie, the consensus is that she’ll feature on the soundtrack. Billboards like the one Taylor has on her website are featuring across the US. That has fans believing Taylor must be a part of the new movie in some capacity.
While most of the voice cast includes some A-list actors returning, such as Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, there’s at least one more known for his singing who has a small role. Bad Bunny will be voicing the role of a Pizza with Sunglasses in Toy Story 5.
Taylor has been featured on her share of film soundtracks. In 2022, her song Carolina was featured on the soundtrack for Where the Crawdads Sing. Today Was a Fairytale was on the 2010 Valentine’s Day movie soundtrack. Meanwhile, her Safe & Sound song appeared on the 2012 Hunger Games soundtrack.
The 36-year-old pop icon came out with her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, last October. In the middle of all of this, she’s also planning a wedding with Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce. Toy Story 5 hits theatres across the US on June 19.
