Savannah Guthrie Asks Jennifer Lopez the Question Fans Wanted Answered

Savannah Guthrie straightforwardly asked Jennifer Lopez about her rumored romance with Brett Goldstein. The speculation began as many observed their evident chemistry and playfulness during the press tour for their rom-com, Office Romance. However, Lopez stressed how she’s frequently shipped with her co-stars, and as it happens all the time, it doesn’t make the rumors true.

Savannah Guthrie questions Jennifer Lopez about dating rumors

During the Tuesday episode of Today, Lopez and Goldstein appeared to promote their upcoming movie, Office Romance. Guthrie took the opportunity to ask JLo if the romance rumors about her and Goldstein are true. “There’s never a time where I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,” Lopez said. Jokingly adding on to Lopez’s answer, Goldstein said that such rumors spark when someone stands near her. Therefore, he has been standing much closer to her.

Guthrie didn’t consider it a definite answer despite Lopez insisting that it was. She said bluntly that Lopez failed to answer the question with “yes” or “no” when asked if there was a dating scene between the duo. The ‘On the Floor’ singer elaborated, “’Cause all these people that they put me with! I think I was with Kevin Costner this year, I was with a lot of people. It happens all the time. Doesn’t make it true.”

When Lopez became a bit frustrated with the rumors, Guthrie made sure to ease the tense situation by tossing a compliment to her. The host said, “That’s what happens when you’re like, a hot eligible single person.” She asked one last time if they were dating, and Lopez confirmed they are not, with Goldstein reaffirming by saying, “Correct.”

In an earlier conversation on Good Morning America, Lopez revealed that she’s currently happy with her single life. “I’m in my happy era. I feel like, for the first time in my life, I’m free. I’m on my own. And It feels really good. I didn’t really know what that felt like since I was in my early 20s and even before that, I’ve always had a boyfriend. There was always someone in my life and so many other things that I felt were out of my control,” she explained.
