In a new interview, the “deja vu” singer went on to talk about whether she believes heartbreaks get easier or harder as one grows older. She also got candid about her own breakup when she was only 17 years old. In the meantime, the interview came amid the buzz about her upcoming third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.” It is all set to make its debut worldwide on June 12.

Olivia Rodrigo says she takes things less personally now

Olivia Rodrigo recently revealed that she has been taking things less personally while answering a question about heartbreak in a new interview with Dazed magazine. During the interview, the interviewer gave the artist a question about her views on heartbreak. The interviewer asked the singer, “As you get older, do you think heartbreak gets easier or harder?”

In response to the question, Olivia Rodrigo said, “I think it gets easier.” The “vampire” singer continued, “I don’t know, talk to me in two years and maybe I’ll have gone through the worst heartbreak ever.” She further explained, “But I just feel like heartbreak will never be as bad as it was when you were 17 years old.” The artist then disclosed, “That breakup that I went through when I was 17… oh my God, nothing will ever be that tough ever again.” “Hopefully!” she added.

In the meantime, Olivia Rodrigo also told the interviewer, “Maybe I’m speaking very naively.” The singer continued, “But I do feel that with every kind of rejection – whether in love or a work thing, a friend thing or whatever.” She shared, “I’m taking stuff less personally as I get older.” The “good 4 u” singer further explained, “As you grow and have more experiences.” “It starts to feel OK,” the artist also added.
