Superman actor Dean Cain faces backlash for his remark about Supergirl Milly Alcock
Former Superman actor Dean Cain came under fire after making unflattering remarks about Supergirl’s Milly Alcock. User Fahhh shared a close-up shot of Alcock on X, highlighting her piercings.
Fahhh wrote in the caption: “Wait… if Supergirl’s skin is bulletproof, how does she have ear piercings?” The post caught Cain’s attention, who reposted it to his X with a thinking emoji. A second user jumped into the conversation and shared a photo of Cha-Ka from the 1970s series Land of the Lost.
The second user, Ginormous Jay, queried, “And why does she look like this guy?” This earned a response from the 59-year-old actor, who wrote: “Dang it… I laughed,” followed by a laughing emoji.
Several users commented under Cain’s post, blasting the 59-year-old actor for picking on Alcock. One user commented, “I can’t believe I grew up watching this guy play Superman. To see him serve and feed on Internet hate towards another person, especially a young woman, makes me really sad.” A second user chided, “You went from man of tomorrow to man of ‘eh, I’ll eat healthier tomorrow…’”
A third user wrote, “This is why no one includes you when we talk about past Supermen. You ain’t him.” A fourth user suggested, “You should really start looking for jobs bro. Being the worst Superman doesn’t seem to pay well.”
A fifth user penned, “What a weird, miserable life you must lead.” Finally, one user chimed in, “You’re an actor who understands the struggle and pain of navigating through the industry and getting stick for the smallest of things. Yet you choose to make fun of a woman who hasn’t done anything wrong, simply for laughs and giggles? You’re a disgrace to the Superman legacy.”
