Jimmy Kimmel mocks Donald Trump walking out of NBC interview
Jimmy Kimmel roasted Donald Trump for walking out of a tense NBC interview with a diaper gag. Kimmel played a video of President Trump yelling and interrupting the interview. In the clip, Trump says, “You are crooked and so is the press crooked and so is ABC and CBS and CNN. You are one-sided crooked networks. Now, let’s call it quits, cos I have had enough.”
As Trump gets up to leave in the doctored video, viewers could see a diaper attached to his bottom. This made the studio audience erupt into laughter. Kimmel quipped towards the end, “You know what? When that dinner bell rings, he’s gone. Either way, their talk ended in a full-blown Trumper tantrum.”
The White House issued a statement on the President’s behalf, dismissing Kimmel’s comments as unserious and unfunny. White House spokesman Davis Ingle stated, “Nobody in their right mind cares what seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel thinks.”
Furthermore, Kimmel mocked Trump for seemingly dozing off during Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on June 8. In several videos, the president could be seen sitting with his eyes shut while the Knicks game was underway (via Fox News).
The 58-year-old host remarked, “New York celebrities were in attendance tonight, including our president, who was too busy with the war to go to his son’s wedding, but had no problem carving out time to swallow nachos at the Knicks game tonight.”
He added, “Donald Trump is the first sitting president ever to completely disrupt an NBA Finals game in person because he decided to go. They had to cancel the watch party outside the Garden. Fans had to get there two hours early to get through security.”
