Prince William reveals he loves bikes
In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Prince William shared his wholesome hobby — his love for riding motorbikes. During his visit to Norfolk Blood Bikes, the Prince of Wales was excited to witness the strong fleet of bikes and cars used for transport and for various other activities. The 43-year-old royal confessed, “I love bikes. I do still ride now and again, quietly.” He also added that he puts on a “disguise” when embarking on his bike rides.
However, Middleton has previously stated that she is not a fan of her husband’s biking hobby and was “filled with horror” when she learnt of his love for bikes. The Princess of Wales remarked, “He’s still riding it. It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it. I’m terrified. Hopefully, I’m going to keep George off it.”
William also addressed bikers at Norwich University Hospital, saying, “It’s a crucial part of the community, not many people understand the network. You guys provide such a crucial link to what goes on. You guys are amazing.”
The Prince of Wales passed his car driving test the day after his 17th birthday and passed his motorcycle test in 2002, when he was 19 years old. As per Hello!, he enjoyed riding motorbikes in his younger days. However, the father-of-three revealed he had “toned it down” after the birth of his children.
Interestingly, William shared his love for riding motorbikes with his younger brother, Prince Harry. The pair reportedly completed a 1,000-mile motorbike trek for charity across South Africa in 2008. In recent times, the future king has taken a liking to riding an e-scooter as his preferred mode of transportation.
