Arnold Schwarzenegger made a rare public appearance with his long-time girlfriend, Heather Milligan, in Vienna on Tuesday. The couple showed their support for the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative during the Austrian World Summit in Vienna, Austria.
As per pictures by PEOPLE, the Predator star opted for a charcoal grey blazer jacket with a black T-shirt underneath. As for Milligan, she wore a lime green camisole top with a matching jacket.
The 78-year-old actor started this initiative almost a decade ago, in 2017. Schwarzenegger has established himself as one of the world’s most recognized and respected advocates for climate action, working with prominent stakeholders to implement necessary changes.
In a statement to Morning Joe, the Terminator star said: “We have to terminate pollution.” He added that “the theme of the conference is that we are unstoppable,” while praising Massachusetts, Minnesota, Texas, and California for making good progress in this department.
The couple was joined by former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
Schwarzenegger and Milligan are extremely private. But the Hollywood star has spoken highly of his partner in a few rare interviews. In a past statement to PEOPLE, he said, “We have so many things in common. I think the world of her. I love that she’s into working. She’s clearly independent. She is driven as hell.”
