Christina Aguilera’s Bare-Back Prabal Gurung Gown Is Completely See-Through

Christina Aguilera donned a see-through Prabal Gurung dress with a completely bare back. The “Genie in a Bottle” hitmaker delivered a special performance at the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center on June 18. She took to Instagram to share several behind-the-scenes snaps from the event.

Christina Aguilera commands attention in fully see-through bare-back Prabal Gurung gown

Christina Aguilera wore the see-through, bare-back Atelier Prabal Gurung Isabelle pleated tulle gown. Crafted from a shimmering, champagne-toned sand tulle infused with delicate metallic glitter, the dress featured asymmetric ruching and tight pleating that wrapped diagonally across her frame. The sheer panels exposed hints of skin along the midriff and waist. It had an elegant off-the-shoulder neckline formed by draped tulle sleeves that framed her chest.

Meanwhile, the back of the gown shifted away from the fluid drapes to a fully exposed open back. A column of covered fabric buttons trailed down to the waist, securing the illusion panel at the back. From the dropped waistline, the dress transitioned into a voluminous mermaid-style skirt. The sheer, glitter-flecked fabric flowed into a pool of layers that formed an extensive, cascading train on the floor.

Aguilera’s styling blended ethereal, Old Hollywood romance with modern allure. She wore her bright platinum blonde hair in glossy finger-waves with a sharp center part. Her makeup featured a mauve-pink lip, sculpted cheeks, and shimmery eyeshadow. Further, she accessorised with a bold, multi-row diamond statement ring. Styled by Chris Horan, she opted for clear-strapped stiletto sandals that complemented the sheer dress. The shoes also featured shimmering ankle straps.

Aguilera performed “What a Wonderful World” at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, held in Chicago at the Center’s John Lewis Plaza. In the caption of her official Instagram post, the 45-year-old wrote, “What an honor to be a part of this historic moment. Congratulations and thank you so much for having me.” Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Bruce Springsteen also performed at the event.
