After years of being estranged, King Charles has seemingly extended an Olive Branch to his son, Prince Harry, and his family, who are slated to visit the United Kingdom next month. Harry will be accompanied by Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet on his trip.

The Monarch has reportedly offered the family a royal residence upon their arrival in the UK (via The Sun). He has also reportedly offered the Duke and Duchess of Sussex the much-talked-about security arrangements.

The royal couple was previously stripped of their security privileges after stepping down from their royal duties and moving to the US in 2020. Harry previously said that he did not feel safe in the UK because his family had allegedly “been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats.”

Harry and Meghan’s leaving the UK was dubbed “Megxit.” It left a strained relationship with the Royal Family. This was only accentuated by the couple’s infamous 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. The Prince’s tell-all book, “Spare,” did not help in soothing the relationship either.

However, in September 2025, Harry met with his dad in his London home for private tea. After this, the Prince admitted that he wanted to spend more time in his native England and also wanted his family to come along.

The family of four is slated to travel from California in the second week of July for a series of events ahead of the annual Invictus Games.
