President Donald Trump has revealed the plans for a giant Ferris wheel at the Great American State Fair after a string of cancellations hit the rally. Trump has now also announced his plans to headline the rally himself, instead of “highly paid, Third Rate Artists.” Events in the State Fair are slated to run from June 25 to July 10, as a mark of America’s 250th anniversary. However, not everyone was left impressed by the development.
Donald Trump reportedly planning a giant ferris wheel at state fair
President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to add a giant Ferris wheel at the Great American State Fair, hoping to attract more interest in the event. After a string of cancellations by artists from the retro circuit, Trump announced that he would headline a rally himself at the State Fair.
Trump’s speech will kick off the State Fair celebrations on June 24, following which other events will take place at the fair. The wonders at the fair include a giant Ferris wheel that is being erected on the National Mall.
The official Instagram page for Freedom 250 posted photos of the Ferris Wheel, with the caption, “The Freedom 250 Ferris wheel is coming together on the National Mall between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument. For 16 days, you can take in the view from the top, walk the state pavilions, and experience the best of America at the Great American State Fair.” It further added, “RSVP for FREE tickets. June 25 through July 10.”
Many users seemed impressed with this. However, despite all the pomp surrounding it, many others were still not convinced this was necessary. “This is way better than affordable gas, groceries, and rent!!” one user wrote sarcastically, while another added, “Why are my tax dollars going towards my government putting on a carnival?” The list of daily events has been put up on the event’s official website.
