Donald Trump’s Meeting With This Actor in Oval Office Raises Eyebrows

Donald Trump‘s hour-long Oval Office meeting with a beloved TV icon just turned into Hollywood’s most talked-about White House visit. The actor stopped by Washington, D.C. ahead of a major film screening, and left with more than just a conversation.

Donald Trump and Kelsey Grammer hold hour-long meeting at Oval Office

Kelsey Grammer met with Donald Trump in the Oval Office for about an hour on Thursday, Deadline reported. The actor visited Washington, D.C. for a screening of his upcoming film Young Washington. The movie explores George Washington’s experiences before the Revolutionary War.

Grammer and Trump discussed politics, their families, and the film during the meeting. A source familiar with the visit confirmed these details to Deadline. Grammer left the Oval Office with a large bag of merchandise, including hats and a Bible. Trump keeps a gift-shop-like collection of memorabilia in a study next to the Oval Office.

Young Washington is an upcoming theatrical feature from Angel Studios and Wonder Project. The film will release on July 3, coinciding with the America 250 celebrations weekend. Jon Erwin directed the film, which also stars William Franklyn-Miller, Mary-Louise Parker, and Ben Kingsley.

Angel Studios describes itself as a values-driven media and entertainment company. The Angel Guild, its community of 2.5 million paying members, votes on which projects get produced and distributed. The company has partnered with the U.S. State Department for embassy screenings worldwide.

The film screened on Thursday at the National Portrait Gallery as part of this State Department partnership. Angel Studios also announced free screenings for U.S. veterans on July 4. The company partnered with the Department of Veterans Affairs for that initiative. Angel Studios said in a statement, “We hope this film serves as a small expression of our gratitude to the men and women who, like the young Washington himself, answered the call to serve with courage, duty, and devotion.”
