King Charles Has One Main ‘Priority’ During Prince Harry’s UK Visit — Source

It seems that King Charles may soon have the opportunity to reunite with two of the youngest members of the royal family, as Prince Harry is preparing to travel to the UK next month for a special Invictus Games event.

Various reports have also suggested that the visit could give the monarch a long-awaited chance to spend time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, whom he has not seen in several years. This could actually change things in terms of their relationship.

King Charles’ main priority is to meet Prince Harry’s kids, source suggests

Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to bring Archie and Lilibet to Britain while Harry attends the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. If the trip goes ahead as planned, it would mark the family’s first visit to the UK together since 2022 and could include private time with members of the royal family, including King Charles.

According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles between 2004 and 2011, meeting Archie and Lilibet would be the King’s biggest priority during the visit. Speaking to Express, Harrold said he believes the only obstacle would be a scheduling conflict, as Charles typically spends part of the summer in Scotland. He added that the King would “do everything he can to make it work,” describing a reunion with his grandchildren as “extremely important” to the monarch.

This is obviously because King Charles has had rather limited opportunities to build a relationship with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and permanently relocated to California, USA. Therefore, it seems like a reunion next month would mark the first time the King has seen his grandchildren in around four years, making the visit especially significant for the royal family.
