Prince Harry’s Rep Speaks Out as UK Future Remains Unclear — Report

Prince Harry‘s United Kingdom trip faced new scrutiny after his team addressed security and accommodation claims. The Duke of Sussex was still hoping to bring Meghan Markle and their kids, Archie and Lilibet, to Britain. A spokesperson said he was exploring “every available option” to make the visit safe and that the itinerary had not changed. Still, the family’s attendance depended on protection beyond where they might stay. That kept the U.K. trip at the center of royal security debate.

Prince Harry’s spokesperson addresses UK return speculation, according to report

As per Express, Prince Harry’s spokesperson addressed his next week’s visit to his homeland. The outlet said the U.K. trip was “going ahead as planned,” with “no tweaks” to the itinerary. However, questions remained over whether Meghan Markle and their children would attend. The spokesperson said Harry’s programme included “public and private engagements” across the country. They added, “Safe accommodation is only one element” of an effective protective plan.

Meanwhile, the statement pushed back on palace lodging becoming the central issue. Earlier reports said King Charles had offered a royal residence during the stay. However, the outlet said no confirmation had been made to the Palace. The statement said, “Risk follows the person, not the place.”

The spokesperson added, “The issue has never been accommodation.” Instead, the dispute concerned “appropriate and proportionate protective security” throughout the whole visit. The statement also referenced RAVEC’s independent Risk Management Board. It said that assessment “has still not taken place.”

The U.K. trip was tied to Harry’s long security fight with the Home Office. His protection level changed after he stepped down as a working royal in 2020. The spokesperson said the Duke of Sussex continued to seek options “to enable the visit to proceed safely.” They also said he wanted his children to “enjoy” the U.K.

For context, Archie and Lilibet last saw Charles during Queen Elizabeth II’s 2022 Platinum Jubilee. That four-year gap kept the family element central to the return speculation.
