Prince Harry Learns When Judge Will Rule in Explosive Daily Mail Lawsuit

Prince Harry is nearing a decision on his case against the publisher of The Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL). After long deliberation over the evidence presented, a federal judge in London has scheduled July 7 as the day of the verdict.

A London High Court judge is expected to deliver a verdict in Prince Harry’s lawsuit against Associated Newspapers on July 7

Harry, alongside a group of prominent British figures including singer Elton John, his husband David Furnish, actresses Liz Hurley and Sadie Frost, campaigner Doreen Lawrence, and former lawmaker Simon Hughes, filed a lawsuit against ANL in 2022 accusing the publisher of engaging in unlawful information-gathering practices.

The alleged activities, detailed during a 10-week trial earlier this year, included tapping landlines, hacking voicemails, and obtaining private information through deception, practices they claim were used to generate stories published about them by the Mail.

According to Blast, the decision remains a high-stakes one for both parties. While the losing party must pay the bulk of legal expenses, which has piled up to tens of millions of dollars after years of litigation, the victorious side can expect significant compensation. Apart from financial damage, the loser also anticipates loss of reputational credibility.

The Invictus Games founder had taken the stand and said, “It is a horrible experience, and the worst of it is that by sitting up here and taking a stand against them… they continue to come after me,” adding, They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery.” Prince Harry mentioned that he is still being targeted by ANL, despite the ongoing case.

A key figure in the trial was private investigator Gavin Burrows, whose witness statement allegedly claimed he had targeted possibly thousands of people on behalf of ANL, though Burrows dramatically denied making the statement during testimony, claiming his signature had been forged.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE VERDICT WILL BE?
