Courteney Cox reportedly never thought she would have to dive back into the dating pool at 60. According to a source, she thinks “starting over in her sixties” is pretty much “daunting.” It came after reports of her breakup with longtime beau Johnny McDaid surfaced online.
The actress and McDaid were together for over a decade, but their relationship reportedly went through many ups and downs. This time, the source claimed that they had seemingly split for good.
Courteney Cox reportedly never thought she’d have to start dating all over again at 60
Courtney Cox and Johnny McDaid started dating in 2013. They had their obstacles, including calling off their engagement, long-distance, and the process of reconciliation. Still, the two stayed together for nearly 13 years. Therefore, their split has reportedly left Cox heartbroken. Moreover, an insider told Closer that she had never thought of dating again at 60.
“She never imagined she’d be starting over in her sixties and, as much as people tell her she’s beautiful, successful, and has plenty of life ahead of her, the thought of dating again at this age is pretty daunting,” they said. Moreover, the “Friends” alum seemed to be struggling with the breakup, largely because her ex has allegedly moved on.
Meanwhile, the tipster claimed that people around Cox allegedly warned her about McDaid. He was said to be of a “free spirit.” They added, “But she stayed around hoping against hope that he’d step up to the plate, which ultimately never happened, so naturally she’s feeling pretty used and demoralized – especially as he’s already moved on with someone new.”
Hence, it was reported that Courteney Cox could also do the same, but she would probably need more time to “process” everything. She could reportedly get into the dating pool “once she’s ready.” Meanwhile, Cox has seemingly been focusing on her work and trying to “stay positive and power through the pain.”
