Well, this is absolutely terrifying. Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon just revealed that she survived a serious health emergency that left her fighting for her life with “gaping holes” in her breast. It all started after she traveled to Turkey for a breast augmentation and nose job. Doctors say it was a miracle she made it through. Now, she wants people to know what happened to her so they don’t make the same mistakes.

Of course, Housewives going under the knife is nothing new. That comes with the territory. But as Lauren pointed out during an eye-opening appearance on Good Morning Britain, cosmetic procedures come with very real risks.
The longtime RHOCheshire star said her nightmare began when a friend invited her to Turkey for a procedure. The friend was doing a social media collaboration with the surgery center, and Lauren was already familiar with the clinic from seeing them online. She jumped at the chance to get a couple of free procedures in exchange for some online promotion.
“I knew who the doctors were because they’re all over social media. I’d seen a lot of their work because they’ve got a lot of pictures of them, but I never met them until the morning of the surgery,” she recalled.
Everything looked fine on social media. What unfolded after she went under the knife was a totally different story. Lauren noticed her left breast turning black after the procedure. The staff assured her it was normal. Spoiler alert: it was not normal.
Things got worse from there. Her nipple turned black. Two holes under her breast were oozing green liquid, and nurses had to prick her breast repeatedly over a 24-hour period just to keep the tissue alive. She spent a month trying to recover before finally seeking help back in the UK.
Lauren recalled, “I was emotionally hysterical, and they were giving me sleeping tablets to make me sleep. My left, I couldn’t move. I was in agony. But then when I came home, it took a year for this left breast to heal. It still had two big holes in it, gaping.”
She eventually visited a cosmetic surgery center in Manchester, where the doctor was shocked she had survived. He performed another procedure to save her breasts, putting an end to her year-long nightmare.
“He literally took everything out, put it back in, and he said that it was like having a cancer inside me that my body was fighting all the time,” Lauren revealed.
What’s even scarier is that Lauren’s experience isn’t entirely uncommon. The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons has reported an increase in botched procedures and cautions anyone against relying solely on social media to vet their medical providers.
