Prince Harry shares son Archie’s latest hobby

On July 9, Prince Harry visited Birmingham Children’s Hospital as a part of his work with the WellChild charity, where he served as patron since 2007. During the visit, he met a 12-year-old child, Alec Hill and his family. According to PEOPLE, Harry told Alec that Prince Archie’s latest obsession is Lego. He also spent time with several other kids and their parents.

Harry also met the WellChild nurses for his better view of how they worked with children who have complex medical needs. The nurses help children with complex medical needs move safely from hospital to home. PEOPLE reported that WellChild nurse, Nicky Holt praised Harry for his kindness and genuine interest in the families. She added that he asked thoughtful question and took time to connect with everyone he met.

Holt also recalled Harry’s conversation with Alec about Lego. She said Harry connected with the boy by sharing his personal stories about building Lego with Prince Archie at home. She added that both staffs and families enjoyed meeting the Duke of Sussex. This interaction came during Harry’s visit to Britain without his wife Meghan Markle and his children.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rarely speak about their children publicly. That make Harry’s comment on Prince Archie’s obsession meaningful for the royal audience. The update offered a personal glimpse into the family’s life away from the spotlight.
