In a recent interview, Rosie O’Donnell offered her prediction about Donald Trump’s future, saying she does not believe he will live through 2028. The 64-year-old comedian described his “demise” as “visible.”
Rosie O’Donnell questioned Donald Trump’s health during a CNN interview
O’Donnell shared her remarks while appearing on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper on July 10. In the interview, Tapper asked, as quoted by OK! Magazine, “When you posted about leaving the U.S., you said you might return when ‘It’s safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America.’ Does that mean that when Trump leaves office, presumably in January 2029, you’ll come back — or it depends on who wins the election in 2028?” To which, she replied, “Well, I don’t think, Jake, that he is going to survive that long.”
She further stated, “All the medical doctors that you can get accurate opinions of what’s happening to him because his demise is visible and apparent to everyone who is not willfully blind.” O’Donnell then claimed that Trump’s frequent verbal mistakes were a cause for concern, citing an instance where he referred to Zelenskyy as “Putin.”
She compared the errors to those a family might overlook at Thanksgiving, but argued that they raise concerns about his ability to handle responsibilities safely. Tapper also weighed in on O’Donnell’s remarks, pointing to a moment when Trump appeared to refer to Iran as the “Islamic Republic of Japan.” The comedian agreed, saying, “There are so many obvious understandings of his dementia and how it’s taking over.”
The feud between O’Donnell, who currently lives in Ireland, and Trump has been ongoing for years. She moved to Ireland after Trump defeated former Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 2024 election, and relocated with her non-binary child. Trump has since aimed at O’Donnell in several posts on Truth Social, even threatening to revoke her citizenship and calling her a “Threat to Humanity,” reports The Washington Times.
