The New York appearance leaned fully into her natural texture, arriving mid-promotion for Christopher Nolan‘s “The Odyssey,” in which she plays Athena.

The Zendaya short curly hairstyle puts her tightly curled pixie cut front and center, marking a dramatic shift from the longer, braided look she wore at “The Odyssey” world premiere in London just days earlier.
Zendaya wore the standout hairstyle twice on July 13. First with her arrival look, and later that day with a white cutout dress. In December, she stepped out in a short, curled bob during a low-key outing with Tom Holland. She then trimmed it even shorter into a deep, side-parted curly cut by February.
Just last week, she reversed course entirely, wearing extra-long beach waves in braided style at “The Odyssey” premiere in London. In New York, she wore a deep-plunging Alberta Ferretti goddess gown from the label’s spring 2008 collection. It had a gold fringe and was paired with knee-high lace-up gladiator sandals.
Working again with longtime stylist Law Roach, Zendaya continued the Grecian-inspired dressing that has defined the press tour. Earlier tour looks included a draped white backless Jacquemus gown and a semi-sheer white lace dress with a torso cutout, which echoed the film’s mythological setting.
Across the press tour, Zendaya and Roach have treated her hair as an extension of each outfit. This hairstyle has become her most texture-forward hair statement yet.
