Matt Damon reveals he is ‘pretty kind’ as a girl dad as his daughters start dating
Matt Damon revealed how he handles his daughters’ dating situations. With four girls, the proud dad said that he is “pretty kind” to his children’s partners. The Oscar winner opened up about the topic on the red carpet of the NYC premiere of his new movie, “The Odyssey.” During the Live from E! Stream, host Justin Sylvester welcomed the actor on a small stage, where Anne Hathaway was already present.
Damon started the interview by speaking about the good things about his new movie, the director, and his co-actors. Then, he was asked about his daughters’ dating lives. He hinted that he had never been unkind towards their choices as they “have very wonderful tastes.”
However, his next statement left everyone laughing. He referred to actor Sean Penn’s quote from his appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” in 2015. Presumably, Damon might have borrowed this stance from his fellow girl dad. He said, “My favorite line that I’ve ever seen was Sean Penn’s: ‘Whatever you do to her, I’m gonna do to you when you get home.’”
Meanwhile, Damon gushed over one of his kids during another interview. He shared how “good” he felt when one of his daughters told him, “I’m proud of you,” after watching “The Odyssey.” The 2026 Christopher Nolan movie stars Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and several other A-listers.
